International Company Seals Deal to Boost Alcoholic Industry

The higher demand for alcohol in Ethiopia has attracted Maritime Mercantile International (MMI), which is a subsidiary company of the Emirates Group, to team up with Eduoard Garabedian, the Ethiopian drinks distributor to carry out business within and outside the country.

MMI, which distributes alcoholic beverages across the Gulf and Indian Ocean, aims to scale up Ethiopian economic growth which is already on track and leading in sub-Saharan Africa.

MMI’s chief operating officer, Iain Delaney, was optimistic while announcing the move, promising once the deal is sealed would enhance growth in the alcoholic industry and that of the country.
